カーライフ
近日、車を購入する予定となりました。
ここ数日は面倒な引っ越し関係の手続き等で頭がいっぱいな状態なのですが、ゆっくりと本も読まずに何やってんだかと自分でも思っています(読みたい本はたまる一方)。ここからは言い訳になりますが、北海道に住み、車無しで自由に生活するというのは極めて困難な状況です。電車の本数は圧倒的に少なく、その分バスに頼れるかというとそういうわけにもいかず、最大の武器であるはずの自転車では最寄りのコンビニまで(片道10分弱)の買い物が精一杯というところです。まして冬になったら自転車にも乗れず、出勤すら往生する状態になることは明白です。
しかしこういうのってアメリカやヨーロッパに近いですね。定時通りに電車が走っていて、観光スポットも大概が公共交通機関で行くことの出来る日本に住んでいるとなかなかわからないものですが、北海道はさすがに違います。3ヶ月余りではありますが、釧路に住んでみてはっきりと実感しました。北海道の高校生は大変だなぁと。まぁその分道は広くて、少し町から離れると信号がほとんど無くなるので、(レンタカーでだけれど)運転は楽しいです。後は飲酒運転とスピード違反にだけ気をつけて道民ライフを満喫したいです。
追伸
最近カウンターはちゃんと見られるようになったみたいですが、どうもカウントがリセットされているみたいなので、適当な数字で下駄を履かせることにしました。確か2000にはなってましたよね？
